You should know the different types of locks with which your mobile phone may get locked.
So, if it gets locked, you will have to get it unlocked for obvious reasons.
There are typically 2 types of locks that can be in a mobile phone. Or simply put, a person’s cell phone can get locked by 2 ways.
Security Lock:
A security code is for the safety and security of your mobile phone. If you activate it in the security settings, the phone will ask it while booting it every time or when you lock the keypad and want to unlock the keypad.
The default security codes of major brands of cell phones are as follows:
Samsung: 0000 / 00 00 00 / 00 00 00 00
Nokia: 12345
All other brands of cell phones: 0000 / 1234
Chinese brands: 1122 / 0000 / 1234 / 4321
So it is advisable to change the security code for safety. So if you change the security code, you should never forget it. If you forget and put the wrong security code, the handset will not accept it. So if you forget it and are unable to put the right code, your phone will be considered as locked. You will have to get it unlocked by special software.
Sim Lock:
In this type of lock, the mobile phone accepts only one sim card and rejects all other sim cards. It may display the message ‘SIM Card Not Accepted’ or ‘Invalid SIM Card when a different SIM card is inserted.
To open these locks, a special software or dongle is required. There are different methods and various softwares available in the market to open locks in iphone, blackberry, Sony, Nokia, Samsung, HTC, Chinese, etc.
There are also options to open locks in some brands/models through codes. These codes are generated through software by putting the device’s information like model number, IMEI number, etc
